Commissioned for a special 20th-anniversary episode of the film Dazed and Confused, directed by Richard Linklater.
I've always felt that Linklater's love for music shines through in most of his films, and the soundtrack of Dazed and Confused perfectly captures the essence of mid-70s rock.

Coincidentally, one of the characters in the school wears a shirt featuring the 1976 Rock and Roll Over album by Kiss. The band is also honored with figurines in the car, and similar bands are referenced throughout the film.

The idea was to choose four characters to represent the same concept as the album cover designed by Michael Doret. Instead of using the original elements like lightning, fire, and stars, I substituted them with collages of graphic elements from the film, such as graffiti on lockers, magazine clippings, and key objects that help set the scene.

Surrounding this, I created a dynamic composition using bottle caps from the scene with the girls at the bar's entrance and the triggers from the pinball machines.

Michelle, Slater, Cynthia, and Mitch were chosen not only because they are fun to caricature but also because their characters add different nuances to the film's essence.
